House but not house, Techno but not techno.  PhOtOmachine, inspired by the raw grooves of the early days of dance music has set out to take some of the sheen off the current crop of electronic tracks..  From the dark Detroit grit right through to the seminal days of the UK Garage era his productions are sprinkled with familiarity and groove.  “All the music that I heard growing up has been really influential in the way I do things.  I like to keep it moving but there’s always a nod back to the past”. Already booked alongside the likes of Moodymann & Scuba in 2011.  This is not a retro movement but one that draws from the early blueprint.
